Projectors
LCD/DLP projectors are often repaired quickly and easily with lamp replacement.  Please try a new lamp before assuming your projector is broken.  A bad lamp will often produce no picture, dark picture, flickering brightness, or cause shut-down after a few seconds or minutes.  Clogged air filters or a bad cooling fan can also cause the projector to shut down after a few seconds or minutes.  Most air filters are user-accessible without removing the cover from the projector. If your projector has dust contamination in the picture, we can generally fix this problem by cleaning the optical path around the LCD panels and prism block.  If you are experiencing a yellow spot, or some other color non-uniformity problem with your LCD projector, this problem is often caused by a heat-damaged optical filter or LCD panel and typically can be very expensive to repair, sometimes exceeding the fair value of the projector.
