About us:
John Weist founded JW Tel-tronics in 1980 while working as a broadcast engineer for KOMO-TV in Seattle. John’s vision was to provide engineering and equipment repair services for smaller production companies and independent shooters. Finding great success with operating JW Tel-tronics part-time, John eventually left KOMO-TV in 1985 to operate JW Tel-tronics full-time.
Today, John operates one of the few remaining independent repair shops in the broadcast television industry. We offer expert repair for Sony, JVC, Panasonic, and Canon broadcast and professional cameras, VCRs, and monitors. Located near Seattle, we have clients all across the country sending their gear to us for expert repair. JW Tel-tronics also has a very successful A/V integration group. We can help you with developing bid specs, system design and engineering, equipment selection, and expert installation.
